Everything is Awesome at Bricks for Kidz Summer Camp! (Psst! Read on for a giveaway!)

As you all know by now I love a good summer camp experience for my kids! I try to think outside the box and sign them up for a variety of activities. But, there is a one constant in this house…read on to see why!

My daughter is a lego fanatic and three years ago we were lucky to find Bricks 4 Kidz Summer Camp. It was such an incredible week for her, that she asked to have them host her birthday party a year later! I am continuously blown away by the creativity of their themed lego classes and parties, their experienced instructors and the way in which the owner of the East Valley Bricks for Kidz, Don Kretsch approaches each customer as if they are his neighbor and friend. Don has a true passion for teaching children about the educational aspects of lego building — his classes include aspects that kids know and love, but he adds interesting twists that get kids thinking and more importantly, inventing.

When my daughter had her Bricks for Kidz Birthday Party she was really into ferris wheels. We had just returned from a trip to my hometown, Chicago, and went on the Navy Pier Ferris Wheel for the first time. While I about fainted (total fear of heights here) she loved every second and wanted nothing more than to build ferris wheels at her party. Don and his staff did not disappoint. The kids built ferris wheels, BUT they took it a step further and added electrical elements to make the ferris wheels really operate! The kids were amazed and the parents frantically asked me how to sign up for Bricks for Kidz camps so their children could continue the fun.

Last summer my son took a Jedi themed camp with Bricks for Kidz at one of their convenient locations (Tumbleweed Rec Center). He loves outer space and Star Wars and this was the perfect combo of both. His favorite creation was a “Jedi Treadmill” with a real working motor and rubberbands for traction.  He can’t wait to try the Minecraft and Robotics camps soon!

Since I only promote local businesses that are “Sawyer and Garrett” approved, I wanted to partner with Don and Bricks for Kidz for a summer camp giveaway so you too can try these incredible camps!
